 WOW! This has been an exceptional year so far for our chapter of WCR! What a great “team” of officers, chairpersons and committee members I’ve had the great privilege of working with so far.
Our National mid-year meetings in Washington, DC were very well attended…an opportunity of networking with over 950 attendees. There were many classes available, including marketing, conflict management, overcoming objections, wireless technology, time management, to name a few. We participated in committee meetings, shared ideas, information and ourselves…as we became a part of the bigger picture of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. Our chapter won a Silver Award for Chapter Excellence for 2004 and we were presented with a plaque at the Awards Banquet. We are very proud and be assured that we’ll be going for the “gold” for 2005!
In addition, Mike Riley and I had breakfast with Senator Diane Feinstein and a personal tour of the capitol with one of her staff. Many of us got to see President Bush at the NAR meeting as well. It was a very exciting and rewarding time for me personally!
Our 2nd Annual Day-at-the-Races event in May was a great success. Many thanks to our great committee and many sponsors…without your hard work and support it couldn’t have been so successful!
The State meeting in Sacramento is coming up this next week…I hope to see some of you there! Thanks again for the opportunity of serving you this year as your chapter president
